A Romanian appointed managing director Unilever South Central Europe

Florin Trandafirescu is as of today, 1st of July, the new managing director for Unilever South Central Europe, replacing Jarek Malinowski who held this position for the past four years. Prior to his appointment in his new position, Florin Trandafirescu led Unilever’s operations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, for four years. He has a extensive experience, of almost two decades in Unilever, joining the company in 1997. During this period, he held numerous management positions within Unilever South Central Europe, but also within the company’s other entities. After leading the Unilever factory from Ploiești and was involved in a supply chain project in the UK, Florin Trandafirescu took over the task as Unilever’s South Central Europe as supply chain director and later was appointed as Supply Chain Vice-President for Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. In 2008, Trandafirescu was named GM Inmarko Russia, a local ice cream producer, after its acquisition by Unilever and later, after the integration process was completed he was named managing director Unilever Czech Republic and Slovakia.

„I am glad to be back home. I am returning to Unilever South Central Europe with enthusiasm to be part of a team, that in the past years has been occupying a high rank in Unilever’s podium in Europe,” said the new managing director for Unilever South Central Europe.

Florin Trandafirescu will lead Unilever’s operations in 8 countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Moldova, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro.
