Adient, the US car seats manufacturer, officially inaugurated a its third factory in Macedonia, near the city of Strumica. The investment is worth 20 million dollars, official government said. The plant has an area of 13.000 sq m and will create 1.500 new jobs.
Aproximately 750 workers were already employed in the plant during the renovation of the existing assets, and a further 400 are to be employed by the end of the year.
Adient is a global leader in the production of automotive seating, instrument panels, cockpits, door panels, floor consoles, and overhead systems. In Macedonia it already operates two plants – in the capital Skopje and in Stip in eastern Macedonia.
