Elmas launches the first forklift upcycling center in Romania
On the 16th of June 2016, ElmasBrașov, a key player on the Romanian material handling market, launched the first upcycling center for forklifts in Romania. For this new line of business, the company invested 700.000 euro and is expanding its service portfolio in the material handling segment.
By introducing this innovative concept on the industrial market in Romania, Elmas is aiming to give a second life to machines that are seen as waste and reintegrate those items in the economic circuit. Through recycling, reworking, testing processes and thorough technical checks, the customers will receive a high quality, high value product and the environment will benefit from the economy of resources and raw material saved in the upcycling process.
The launch event of the upcycling line was part of the 20th celebration of the partnership between Elmas and Linde Material Handling.
Elmas is a 100% Romanian capital company based in Brașov county, with a team of 320 employees and a total revenue of 23 million euro in 2015. The company has four main business lines: forklifts, industrial cranes and steel structures, elevators and car parking systems and forestry equipment.
