One United owners to develop logistics park in Ploiești, Romania
The founders of One United, a Romanian real estate developer, are working to diversify their business strategy, entering the industrial spaces market.
This being said, the Romanian business partners are preparing to develop a logistics park near the city of Ploiești (a city known for its oil industry, located 60 km from the capital-city of Bucharest), which will be their first project of this kind.
The two founders (Victor Căpitanu and Andrei Diaconescu), together with their former partners at Capital Partners (Doru Lionăchescu and Vlad Bușilă) are in the process of getting building permits for a 49 ha plot of land which they purchased back in 2007.
‘We are now in the process of getting construction permits for about 60,000 square meters. We do not build speculatively, as a rule. The project manager, Nicholas Nabil Bouri, has several tenants with whom we are discussing and will build on demand’, Victor Căpitanu said.
The land is located across the road from the Kaufland Logistics Center, near the city’s Ring Road. This is where the first stage of construction will begin on the future One Ploiești Logistics Park, which has the potential to grow to 220,000 sqm of warehouse space and around 20,000 sqm of office space. The first stage of construction involves an investment of 25 million EUR.
