Afin Holding makes important logistics park deal
Considered one of the most important transactions of 2019 on the Romanian market, Afin Holding acquired Aries Logistic Park, located in the city of Turda, near Cluj-Napoca, for an undisclosed amount.
The logistics project, which is partially developed, includes close to 60 hectares of land available for further builds.
Also involved in the transaction were the real estate agency Colliers International and Moroianu & Associații, who worked as a legal advisor.
According to an Afin Holding partner, Stefano Albarosa, development plans will focus on adding 20,000 sqm of warehouse spaces, as well as 5,000 sqm for an existing tenant: ‘Given the large amount of available land for development, we are also actively seeking new build to suit projects and initial talks are ongoing with several interested parties’.
Afin Holding has been investing in Romania as early as 1995 and is currently active in the automotive, real estate and industrial sectors. Furthermore, AIC RE, the company’s real estate division, is one of the leading developers of industrial and logistics assets, having built more than 800,000 sqm, leased and sold to investors.
