Ukraine’s Nova Poshta, a group of transport companies, is planning significant investments in 2020.
The group’s co-owner, Volodymyr Popereshniuk, announced investments in Nova Poshta’s infrastructure development, with funds as high as 100 million USD (90.7 million EUR) set aside.
Volodymyr Popereshniuk added: ‘This is an unprecedented amount, but we need to start sometime. I already said that Nova Poshta had not yet developed, but only trained. Now we are starting!’
This year, the group of transport companies is planning to launch its second phase of the Kyiv Innovation Center development. By doing so, it will increase the center’s transport capacity to 50,000 parcels per hour, with plans to get the number all the way to 60,000.
Furthermore, Nova Poshta intends to build four innovation centers equipped with automated sorting systems, in the cities of Brovary, Dnipro, Odesa, and Kharkiv. Each of the new centers will have a transport capacity of up to 20,000 parcels per hour.
Volodymyr Popereshniuk announced further plans for some of its remaining terminals, which will be equipped with modern technologies.
Nova Poshta is a private postal and courier company, from Ukraine, which provides express delivery for individuals and businesses. Having around 28,000 employees, the company was founded in 2001, in Kyiv.
