DYI retailer Dedeman invests in logistics park in Romania
Dedeman group, a significant presence on the Romanian market, has partnered-up with Element Industrial in order to develop a logistics park near Bucharest (Romania).
The site of the future ELI PARK 1 logistic and industrial project is located Northwest of Romania’s capital-city of Bucharest, near several public transport routes and approximately 4 km from the Bucharest Ring Road. The site also has direct access to a major four-lane national road (DN7).
The site will stretch for a total of 50,000 sqm, with the first phase of 20,000 sqm scheduled to be finalized this summer. After delivery, Element Industrial will start working on the second phase of the project.
Element Industrial representatives also announced the company will invest 20 million EUR in the first phase of the project. The first client is Paste Băneasa, a major Romanian manufacturer of dried pasta and other similar food items, which already leased 5,000 sqm of the new logistics park.
Dedeman is regarded as the biggest entrepreneurial business in Romania, while Element Industrial is a developer, investor and asset manager of logistics and industrial real estate.
