New rail transport service between Europe and China by MOSOLF
As others before did, in order to take in all the benefits that come with the New Silk Road, the MOSOLF Group is planning to establish a new railway transport service between Europe and China.
The company’s aim is to have a sustainable railway link between European countries and various Asian destinations, among which China takes the no. 1 spot.
MOSOLF, an automobile logistics specialist company, intends to carry finished vehicles between Lodz (Poland) and Chengdu (China). It will provide pre-carriage operations by road and rail and will load the vehicles in containers using its own personnel at the company’s operating site. At the same time, the Spedcont railway terminal in Lodz will handle the container-related operations, including the empty ones.
With test operations set to begin in mid-2019, the group has already signed several contracts for various operating sites along the route.
To make things easier, MOSOLF will rely on the existing Chengdu-Euro Express Railway to also transport its finished vehicles, considering the service has been operating between Chengdu and Lodz since 2013.
Regarding this new service, the CSO of the MOSOLF Group, Wolfgang Göbel said: ‘Customers will benefit from end-to-end quality management, direct links between the railway terminal and the container terminal as well as daily departures on this main line along the New Silk Road between Europe and China’.
