Furniture manufacturing company EGGER finished work on a new plant in the town of Biskupiec (Poland) and started production at the end of June 2019.
As the company’s no. 19 plant for making clipboards for furniture manufacturing, the new building is currently operating at a capacity of 650,000 cubic meters of clipboard. This was made possible thanks to a large investment of 440 million EUR, which also created the possibility for 400 direct and around 600 indirect jobs. Currently, there are 370 people employed at the Polish plant.
The company’s Co-Owner, Michael Egger said he was ‘delighted that we have started production at our EGGER Biskupiec plant, and together with our management team and employees we are honored to become an important supplier to the Polish furniture industry’.
EGGER prides itself with the Biskupiec plant, because it was planned and built according to the European Union regulation of BAT (Best Available Techniques), which guarantees the use of advanced technologies to help reduce emissions that impact the environment.
